Nau Mai, Haere Mai ki Whakamanawa 2026 – The National Social Services Conference!

As the host of Whakamanawa, Social Service Providers Te Pai Ora o Aotearoa warmly invites you and your fellow kaimahi to join us at the Due Drop Events Centre on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September. Registrations will open soon.

Whakamanawa is a conference that inspires, encourages, and connects us, bringing kotahitanga across the whole social sector of Aotearoa New Zealand. It’s about uniting our collective knowledge, skills, and passion so we can all return to our communities and hapori refreshed, ready to continue making a real difference.

Share your mahi at Whakamanawa 2026!

Do you have an initiative, practice or research project that the sector needs to hear about? 

Then we want to hear from you. 

We are seeking innovative, inspiring and important mahi and research for our workshop programme. Topics can cover any area relevant for the sector including: child and family support, family violence prevention, sexual violence prevention, housing, rangatahi, disabled people, rainbow communities and kaimahi hauora.
